You kids make it sound like parties JUST went 21+. There were times, recently, when all EDM parties were 21+ and Crobar didn't do this 18+ (and even had a somewhat strict door policy).
Some of you should feel lucky you live/go to school here. There are TONS of things to do for 18-21s at night here. Try living most other places in this country where under 21 kids aren't allowed into places that sell booze after 10 pm, and those places are the only places open at night. |
well yes and no but were also unlucky to live here because we grow up with the mindset of deserving it... i was doing 18-19 year old things when i was 15-16 (id be at college spots that out-of-town NYU or Fordham , etc. college kids would go to)... not sayng im cool because of that but all my new york friends were like that, we grow up advanced i guess you could say (saw Ferry the first time shortly after i turned 17, not to mention JP before that).... so its like as if a city had the 21+ bar, and then sets it higher to 23+, of course the 21+ who were used to it will get a little pissed off |

well the fake got me into a couple parties, back in its glory days (when it worked haha)... and it got me into Pacha several times... oddly enough, it got taken away the night i spun @ Pacha hahaha long story. |

| i would guess the reason being, if it's a big DJ that's going to bring a huge crowd no matter what, the promoters/club know its going to be packed, so rather have 100% be of drinking age to spend money at the bar than half the club not drinking |
