I was coming back to canada from mexico by car and we had like 4 bottles each, we crossed through arizona and they made us throw away 2 bottles each (there was three of us). Its really state dependant, we were told, sometimes theyll be lenient and let you in with more than the limit, but it really depends on the officer. Also there is no 'paying for extra bottles' in the states from what i was told, its either benevolence from the officer or it goes down the drain (literally, they make you pour it down the drain).

I have brought tons of alcohol over the years to the States even when I was underaged .... never had a problem!

Actually the only thing that ever caused a problem were dog biscuits!
My dog was moving with the family and had to go through the agriculture animal customs ... and they took her freaking biscuits!
She was freaking pissed! :whip: :stongue:
