lmao

there is another club owner on this board right now that has been seen many times with underage girls in a certain hip hop room.

you won't find that on the internet.

LOL

no need to bring back bad stories about the guy because your friend didnt fit with the club's style

everytime something happens in a club, you guys bash or try to destroy people's image

this board is gonna loose a lot because people wont want to post events here anymore

take it easy

Peel Pub forgot to give me bread with my recycled food.

Boycott the wet t shirt contest people.
That will teach them!:p

lol.... you guys are funny... so far the most interligent post are made marcus. OK so here what happened why it happened.

I met Julius not long ago very nice guy ... I tought he has alot of potential to play so I decided to bring in this new concept to help out other DJ's as well. He sent me a mix. I listened to his stuff alot as well I kneww exactly what he played. We also talked on how he should slithly change his style once he plays there and build up a set properly. Once I listened to his new mix he made for me it was very good well built not too cheesy and not dark/sketchy/underground either so I'm like good stuff man. Now as we get there the room got fairly packed. The first song I hear was supppper hard so I'm like ok maybe it an intro. People around except for TA's were pretty shocked also. Now yes it is a hip hop room usualy but that dosent mean anything. The crowd at 1234 is very mixed and like both hip hop and house as well. Yes it is commerical but they can also adapt to good different vibe. You cant just put carl cox there on saturday with their regular crowd for example. I then went upstairs in the main room and compared the music. The songs Julius was playing at at 10:30 were harder than what the main room plays at 2am. Now there is definitely something wrong with that. For one this is club and for two there was an agreement on to adapt to the venue.

I know Julius was asked to play some hip hop / regeea wtv but that dosent mean anything 5 what 20 max out of 1500+ which were there that night. Now as I said before the room got fairly packed and I had a whole bunch of people there for the begining of this concept. The room got 3/4 emptied in max 30 min. Now that a serius problem. Now second of all that room is used to get $5000 bar sales about. When the sales of the night drop very very low and management is definitely not happy. If the amount of people in the room at the begining was kept at least more people would of joined since it would of created a different vibe. There used to be house events in that room once a month before and I was packed all the time. Now do I explain this sudden drop on the night. As I also talked to Julius after the night he mentioned a different mixer problem here and there he wasent used to it this and that. There is not point to go into details. The point is that there is 4 people there that could of helped you or give you more time to prepare Me, Maher, Sound Technician Louis and Mario. It very welll organized club and they are ready for any problems but they also need to know instead of just starting a night and play all for their friends. There is structure that need to be respected wich was previously discussed. Now this is not to bash Julius or anything I still respect him and there was some missunderstanding i guess between the two of us. He has to spot playing at around 1:30 because you need to understand the clubs position as well. Except for the TA's the room was empty and I had several people coming for another party that were deceived by this night and that not because they like cheese like you guys call it but because it was not suitable for the venue. Like look the crowd is not that cheese at 1234 the dj played "this is for detroit" the crowd was going crazy and that really not a cheesy track.

All in all there the music was not suitable for the venue. All the TA's you guys say he rocked because his your friend obviously and are used to another type of music. Indeed he played some commercial stuff but it after hours commercial music which is very different from club commercial. I didnt ask him to pump the megamix either just to play well built set. If he would of played the way he did on his latest mix which was posted recently it would of been completely fine and it would of been a great nigt. Now stop bashing MC mario you need to understand the profitability factor for the club as well. This was not a private basement party for TA's but a serious club event. I wont event talk about the experience factor but it pointless. When I talked to Julius and also saw him play and listened to his stuff he presented himself to me as someone very profesional and never mentioned any issues which in fact was not the case. I took a risk to make some of you happy while trying to bring something new and I ate all the at the end so least you can is show some respect for me and the venue.

Actually, MC Mario hit on my girlfriend's sister when she was like 16 or something =P

Anyways, Louis is right, there's no point making a big stir about this. Club 1234 is not the venue for a cutting-edge Ableton set.

For what it's worth though to the promoters, I went there to see Julius and spent way more ing money in an hour than 50 dancehall-loving 17-year-olds would have the entire night.

Vicci you demand respect that you have not earned.
Between this, false flyer info and dj's not showing up for your gigs, coco entertainment looks like a joke.Earn your respect before you demand it.No one owes you .

wow. ty for everyone

djs do need to adapt to their surroundings....and once I heard julius was spinning at 1234, I was like :wtf:

julius, you are really good....and you'll get a venue that suits you one day. Just put this in the past...try to anyway

anthony pappa didnt show up
dj marakesh was never a pacha marakesh resident(like on your flyer)
it is a joke becuase your "company" is new and you are talking like you have been supporting and making the scene what it is for years.

i respect the fact that you are trying.
Just don't expect people to just hand over their respect to people that look like they don't have a clue.

Best part of the night was... when some random white dude goes upto Erika and asks if she has any drugs.
