I decided to knock up a half hour mix to act as a precursor to what to expect from a gig I've got on Friday as Never Enough take over T3 at Turnmills (London, UK) for The Gallery...
There's techno, breaks, breakbeat techno (my favourite!), electro, fx, even a little bit of scratching... tbh it's just a mashup of loads of cool, groovy tunes!
The tracklist is so:
01 Nick & Danny Chatelain - Morrocco's Festival [David Amo & Julius Navas Remix]
02 Co-Fusion - Hot! Hot!! (Love To Heart) [Osamu M Emagine Mix]
03 Santos - I've Made Progress [Rogue Element Remix]
04 Boyz Noise - The Bomb
05 LawX - 21st Century Front
06 D.A.V.E. The Drummer & Marcello Perri - Hydraulix 33
07 Human Tech - Techno At Random
08 Alexander Koning - Watch The Weight [Darren Kay Remix]
09 Stephane Signore - My Existence [Hybrid Players Remix]
10 Balthazar & JackRock - Vintage Future [Stephane Signore Remix]
With a load of extra loops 'n' samples and stuff thrown in for good measure.
Running time: 29 mins approx.
And you can get it:
HERE - Just right click and Save Target As to download :)
Let me know what you think and hopefully some of you will be able to come and support me and the rest of the Never Enough crew on Friday!

I'm sure I did reply! I said I'm afraid I didn't really wanna do a collab until I'm more confident about my own solo production skill. I still haven't really got any more practice since then (yeah, I've been slacking) so I'm afraid you might have to give me a bit more time, but I'm definitely up for doing it when I've found my feet! |

Sounds like your in the doghouse Stu  hehe.
This mix is good. Apart from the odd transition here and there. But seeing as its 10 tracks in 29 mins, your hands must have been going like windmills :)
Liked the first track, then i heard 'Gangster Trippin' on 'Hot Hot!, that FBS track gets my head going everytime. Like the way 'The Bomb' kicks in as well.
Big fan of the Hydraulix series, and the Dirty Lyrics are great in this new one, might be tempted to get that. The last 2 tracks are groovy to finish it off. |

Ah sorry mate, I was certain I had. Anyway, as I say, give me a bit more time to get my act together but yeah I'm definitely up for doing something!
Cheers Mark, yeah the one thing I really feel I need to tie down more than anything else is my beatmatching... can be as rough as sandpaper at times lol - it's cool that some people will allow it in return for a bit of technical skill, but in an ideal world I should be nailing it every time, no matter what I'm doing (and if I can't nail it when mixing technically, maybe I shouldn't be going as far as I am!)... which is what I should aim for.
Glad you liked it generally though, I've been using the Gangster Trippin' vocal quite a lot recently - tends to go down well :D and The Bomb's forking tune... I actually found that one by accident when searching for something else and recognised it from a Dave Clarke mix, it's about 4 years old now. |
