What would YOU do with the lakefront if you could build it like SimCity?

For me its a no brainer. Id fill in the lake about 500 M in front of existing condos and build a huge park and walkway with cafes and touristy stores. Or at least build something similar to what they did in Hong Kong when they faced a similar problem. A concrete walkway that jutts out from the shore and offers a great view and nice place to relax.
The portlands would be a mix of entertainment such as clubs bars and pubs. An amusement park such as an aquarium. Leisure activities for families during the day and parks. I would not put ANY residential in the area so that noise complaints would be minimal. Id also make anyone moving into condos surrounding the area sign a noise clause stating that they cannot complain about the noise.
As for the islanders? Id finish what was started in the 60s and convert the rest of those cottages into parkland. |

well obviously we could do some unique things such as a movie studio etc etc... but the basic idea should be what works best |
