Thought I'd post a little fun for the night.
Some of you may have heard the original ('pella) before by a guy named "Ray", as well as a couple of other remixes. Well, my friend sent me one mix and I commented that I could barely hear the words, and being a wise-ass, he of course said that I should do a *better* mix, and not to be out-wise-assed, I decided I *would* make one. I'm not really sure if it's better, but hey, it's different, and it's fun.
Threw it together in a matter of hours so don't expect a masterpiece, but I hope it puts a smile on your face and, you know, eases some of that stress you built up at work. :cool:

What the hell...
It is so cold and static... where is the groove. I can't find it!?
I mean you have a great idea here... I can see how you wanted to get this a bit funky & jazzy with the rhodes and stuff... I say you need to sex it up a bit. Get a good quantize from a drum-midi or something and it should put a bit of that extra touch that it needs... I would also like to see that bassline extend & freestyle a bit too! Dub it a bit to... some delay and phaser effects would make it more intressting!
Or maybe im just all wrong... and you wanted to go with this approach? ...anyways it's cool lyrics! :P |

@rT19: I do all my work in Cubase.
@Sinnica: I actually thought it was buried - if it sounds so different on another system then it must be an EQ problem. Normally I test on several systems but not in this throwaway project, heh. :p Thanks for the tip!
@expanded: Quantize? Freestyle? You are out there dude! Although if you're insinuating that I shamelessly looped the drums and bassline, then you are absolutely, completely, 100% correct. ;)
@Akia: Glad you sorta liked it - I'm actually flattered that you call it too jazzy because I generally suck at jazzing it up! |

I will second that.
I personally like the song cuz I am into jazz from my family and even though you are not too much into jazzy I can see some good elements there n you have some nice musical ideas, but since we are talking about electronic music I am always drilling about putting more changes and smooth fx on all songs to make it deeper and interesting. It is just my feeling but the song is great. Great job m8
