I have a riff from another track, and i cant figure out which scale it could be.

The notes play in this order B,Bb, G, C

I dont know too much about music theory, but im struggling to find this one.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks..

Couple questions first;

1.) Where are these notes lying in the measure?
2.) Does it repeat?
3.) Are some of the notes shorter/longer than others?

Initially myu thoughts are this;

B, Bb, G, C descending line cliche for C Mixo scale, or a C be-bop scale. That is if the tonality is mainly on C. A lot of times during my jazz piano learnings, moving from the major 7th to the b7 then to the 5th (usually 6th first though) is just as I said earlier, a line cliche.

Another idea is that the B and Bb are part of inversions. Maybe the harmonies are G/B, Gmin/Bb, Gmin, Cmin. In which case the B and Bb are the 3rd of the chords. Numerous possibilities, I'm sitting in my cube at work trying not to fall asleep by playing the notes in my head in different contexts.

Post up a clip perhaps?
