more like Boris's contract is up and wasn't renewed...

He will be making his Pacha debut on TGE

Sucks that Pacha had to pick him up... he brings out the shadiest crowd by far out of all the DJs I've seen.

mite sound biased and eventhough he does his thing in Jersey...

Richie Santana is more then worthy of holding down a residency at Crobar. He has enough people backing him and I honestly can't see anyone other then him right now being a new resident at Crobar

maybe Exacta....but i would still pick Santana over him any day

Santana is a hell of a lot better than Boris. That Boris crowd is god awful.

this thread is mentioning the bottom crust of new york based DJs...if any of these names get replaced by any of the other names mentioned it wouldnt really make much of a difference...

some only wonder how djs like boris and draper make residents at these clubs when some of our very own barely scratch the surface of the flier world.

i'd like to see jollins, zack, eddie lee, tek, nauts, 1love kids, frequency kids, all hold a residency at a decently promoted venue, definitely not a crobar or pacha though =)
Miss Bliss
Jesus Christ, why Pacha? That's actually a decent place ugh ugh

I saw Serge Devant open up for Erick Morillo on Sunday in Vegas, and I was pretty impressed... although he did drop some cheesy , like some INXS song (Your moves are so raw... hahaha). Still wouldnt mind seeing him or Santana get a residency... I'd probably go once in a while.

have you ever seen Santana? mixings pretty bad, from the 3 times i saw him.... track selection is decent at best, and im assuming a lot of you have never been to a JP event, because its Boris' crowd, only worse (and JP is a Pacha resident)....

Exacta, unfortunately is a Pacha resident (as is Whitmore, one of Crobar's former openers)....

Serge Devant.... gosh no, i dont like him at all anymore.... maybe for an opening set for Ferry, but no more than that....

we are now seeing what happens when the clubs spend a year or two focusing SOLELY on their headlining talent and not promoting emerging talent.... theres a very very limited list of names that is possible to hold down a Crobar residency, and they only have THEMSELVES to blame for not cultivating some potential names earlier....

call me crazy but a monthly Robots party there would be something different, maybe something we need? either that or a trance monthly with locals (that might be harder to pull off than the Robots event, but theres a few untouched names here in the city, like Thomas Datt... um nvm, theres very few somewhat-known DJs in New york haha).... maybe Alex Pearce might hold down a co-residency (teaming with someone else), he may not have the huge draw but maybe he, along with one or two other DJs, are certainly up to that level musically, who knows....
