i have the audiophile actually and there's only a few things worth mentioning to you before (if) you buy it:

1) i had driver problems with it but once i finally got it instaled correctly i havent had anything else wrong with it...

2) very limited (i think its 2x2) so if you intend to route different channels in ableton out to each of your mixer channels or something along those lines, forget about it...but if you dont mind routing 1 in and 1 out for general mixing between the physical and digital domain then go for it.

if you have any other specific questions about that one pm me

i agree.
4 audio outs is almost a must. This is so you can listen to something in your headphones before you send it over ot the main mix.

can you reccomend a midi interface that could handle

1) oxygen 8 keyboard
2) trigger finger
3) djm800

all running at the same time?

Motu Ultralite would be your best bet. It's got enough channels to connect all of those at the same time. I considered buying one however your looking at over US 500. I went for Firewire 410 by M-Audio it seems to have everything I need really and it only cost me 200 US. I am using UC-33e MIDI controller, DJM-800 controlling Ableton or Traktor without any problem. Although some reported issues with using 410 but it does the job for me, never crapped out on me or anything. For some it works flawlessly where some having problems with it. I say go for Ultralite if your looking for a solid sound device but prepare to pay.
There're lots of others you may consider like Saffire LE that's around 300 US etc

i am most likely going to get the firewire 410... i have a question though. will i have to plug my headphones into that interface in order to preview the tracks/effects/samples/etc..? i was going to use the djm800 mixer as my midi interface.. cant i just cue the tracks/samples/loops/etc through it? im sorry if these are stupid questions but i am not familiar w/ ableton, midi interfaces, and how they work together/are connected. i wish there were pictures because i dont understand how it all comes together...

as of right now, i use serato, tt's, and a ty numark mixer to dj

i have cdj1000mk3's, a djm800, and ableton 6 on the way and i plan switching over to ableton to dj w/. i just want to be able to connect my laptop and ableton to my mixer and use my mixer to control ableton... if i get the firewire 410 will my setup be complete or will i need a few more items (cords, power supply, etc..).

thanks
bisco

Well you only need a true "MIDI" interface for the DJM-800, the other two controllers can run off of your USB ports.

do you think the 410 will do the trick or is that overkill?
