ID Contest 40: Now with twice the bitrate!
View this Thread in Original format
Cobalt
Apologies for the delay in posting. I think this one is relatively easy, though that's often something to be cautious about when making an ID contest.

I've done away with 64kbps samples, in favor of glossy 128kbps. If you're not in the broadband era by now, you should be. There are 60 tracks to be identified. As per the recent trend, I'll provide hints as I deem necessary and appropriate for unanswered selections.

The rules as I phrase them:

Artist - Title (Remix / Version) = 3 points, one for each correct field

except for original mixes, where Artist - Title = 3 points, and one of either field will net you two points.

Yes, Chris, I want to play!

Answer by PM. You may revise your entry as many times as you wish (within reason).

Contest ends on Friday, 20 October 2006 at 2200 GMT. That's 5pm EST, 2pm PST, 11pm CET, 8am Saturday down under, etc.

(I've also hidden my Discogs profile since many of these are from my collection.)

24 Solve the following equation:

32 079

33 Funny sleeve, but I assure you the track has nothing to do with female anatomy:

35 This track was featured on a popular Max Graham compilation.

39 This artist is often placed alongside Oakenfold as a notorious cokehead.

44 There are two tracks in this contest that were Dance Valley themes. This is one.

45 Chewy wants Leia to spell his name with a 'k' instead of 'cc':

48 A track dedicated to a city on the largest island of the Phillipines, just not as you're used to hearing it.

49 Released on Plastic Fantastic.

51 Appears on a very communist Hooj Choons sublabel.

52 This artist's first big record, as featured on a Danny Tenaglia compilation.

55 Shame on you for not descrambling the melody to this remixed 2001 tech-trance hit.

56 The featured vocalist was recently remixed by Noel Sanger.

57 Familiar?

60 The chillout version of a track found on 013: Ibiza.

I'm frightened that people are getting away with calling the late 90s "oldschool".

First scoreboard soon.

Well 1992 was old-skool in 1999, so why can't 1999 be old-skool in 2006?

And it's going to take an hour to download this file. So much for "I'll manage". I want my 2mb connection back.
