I think you have to make the kick a little more heavy. I have no complain about the repetitiveness bacause you have a long melody. But, i would like to hear a more distinct pad after the break to fill up the whole track.
It was a nice one though! I liked it! |

| Hey! Nice work. Overall i quite enjoyed this. A few complaints though. I hate to be picky with the kick, but it sounds like you're using two kick sounds, one for attack and one for low end, thats good, but it sounds like the low kick hits a few ms after the attack kick. It gives it kind of a click-thud sound instead of both at once. Fixing that should be simple and i think it could help out the track some. Also, tone down the reverb on the kick in the beginning. I like your bassline sound, but i don't think it sits quite right in the mix through the whole track. In some parts it seemed too far forward. Try to get it to sit deeper. Nice melodies and synths in there, and some nice pads as well. I'm sorry to be picky, i'm just trying to help. I think this could be a pretty bangin track with a little more work. |

thanks for the comments.
someone else said about the reverb on the kick there actually is none. the reverb is in the percussion at the beginning.

| hey barry...kick sounds a little weak on my audiotechnica headphones. Bassline is still kind of weak imo. Sounds like all the other basslines you make. I think you got some different tricks up your sleeve. After the 2:15 mark im getting quite bored and that panning sound was getting annoying. Nothing great or fantastic about the break. Very plain. Nice and energetic, but I feel it lacks a lot of elements. Decent progressions, but it lacks some pads to keep it flowing in some sort of direction. The second breakdown is kind of boring too. Overall, melodies and arrangement were pretty good, but the transitions and amount of sounds is sub par. Add more to it and post again because I like the track just needs more to it. |

nice kisk and i like the reverb on the percs. gives that non generic sound.
panning hi hats are good. add a nice space to the track.
mixing is faultless man! very good. maybe some more beef in the kick zone?
@ 1/8th of the way through a weired synth somes in . panning and blipping on every beat. it is too loud in the mix. and maybe take it down an octave?
arrangement is good with a nice variety to it. kick def needs more to it. less compression maybe.. if not then a slower warmer kick.
break - synths sound a little bit weak and too dry. get a bit of reverb/delay to make it feel bigger. - the break is the let down of the track. it doesnt build the track. the main section is nice. good drive and very very clear sounds throughout.
imo a 1000% increace in sound professionism since three months ago. keep it up matey!:) |

first of all, I think the kick has too much high end.. it sounds too snappy for a kick.
I like the pad that filters in around 0:54!
The bass arpeggio sounds nice very well eq'd! good rootnote btw :)
after you throw in the first lead synth, I think the bass arpeggio takes too much attention, and I bet you want the leadsynth to have the attention, maybe lower the bass a little?
The break sounds very empty to me, maybe you should fill it up with some percs or fx's?
when you throw the kick back in the bass arpeggio takes up too much attention again.. but ok im not going to fault you for that twice ;)
plucky synth melody sounds good!
I don't think you would need the last break :)
Keep it up!! |

Overall, very nice. I think the kick and bass could be much more driving - as has already been stated.
If you figure out how to make good driving kicks and bass, let me know. I'm still trying to figure it all out myself :D |
