Here is my review of Mike Monday from Shanghai
Mr. Monday is/was ing fantastic. Really great guy, loves to party.... his style was a mix of tech-house, progressive and electro, with some very organic basslines and synths. I wasn't really sure what to expect because his production covers such a wide spectrum. He had a mix of about 50% Chinese and 50% ex-pats mostly from France and England losing their shizziness.
I'm now even more excited for his debut here next Friday
On a partying note, the promoter out here hands me a bag of what I thought was one thing and what turned out to be another. (where's Drew?!)
My boy who lives out here was a complete mess. As we were getting ready to leave (and I'm carrying him out) he starts to motion like he's going to puke, we make it to the bathroom and he kicks open a stall and starts gagging over some guy who was in there taking a . I pull him out, he's puking all over the place, in the community wash-basin that was like a jacuzzi, etc.
Then I had to explain to our cabbie in about 3 words of Chinese that I know where the hotel is. (The hookers didn't speak English LOL)
I also ate Yak burger this afternoon.
I'm going to try to post some pics of the party. See everyone on when I get home!!! |
