Are these monitors worth the money?

I have a friend at work that does music production and has the following for $150 US.
Alesis Monitor One
RA-100 Amp
He wants $150 US for everything. I don't have any monitors at the moment - all I use is some Sennheiser headphones...
I don't want to spend too much money right now. Are these worth the money?

if it fits into your budget, i would say go for it. i think you will enjoy mixing on this more than just mixing on headphones.
don't expect crazy bass tho... the woofers on those things are kinda small. |
