Amsterdam is really easy to visit. Nearly everyone speaks English and is very friendly. I've been to Awakenings and Dance Valley. Awakenings is smaller and more techno focused. Dance Valley is huge and pretty commercialized. Both are well organized though DV took a while to get into b/c of the hordes and hordes of people. In any case, they know what they're doing and make it easy for you to enjoy yourself rather than worry about logistics. One strange thing is... they took umbrellas away at security, but didn't really bother with anything else. I guess they were worried people might poke each other's eyes out? haha

Re: bringing goodies back. Absinthe is fine to bring back, but the other stuff is not. So that's at your own risk. I didn't take a chance when I went, but I probably could've gotten away with it. This was in '03 and '04. I think the security there was pretty lax. It's customs here that's more of an issue especially if there are dogs, etc.

just wanted to say hello to everyone from berlin.

so far, the nicest cities ive been to were prague, berlin, copenhagen and amsterdam.

each city had something different and nice to offer.

and yes, bought some absinth and i have a good feeling ill have no problem bringing it in. but well see.

the highlight of my trip has been seeing tiesto at paradiso. it was a magik muzic night. it was definitely a different experience.

i think my friend recorded some clips of it.

ill be back on the 30th.
