I went and really enjoyed Lee's set up in the main room. The club was cool venue. The main room upstairs had high ceilings and gave it a loft kind of feel to it. The sounds was really nice up there. The basement could use some tweaking to the sound system and the bathrooms were kind of scummy.
Holosound was spinng some good musice down stairs before Lee and Bill Patrick took over around 5:30ish. The downstairs set was getting a little monotonous for my taste and the crowd was starting to get to be a little too much like a freakshow so we got out of there around 8 or 7 maybe, depending on when you actually turned your clock back. Overall, I had a great time. When's Lee's next NYC gig?
*EDIT* Nice to meet Groundhog Boy and Barosoap! |

I had an amazing time! Got there when the doors opened and Paul was throwing down some silky grooves in the basement. A perfect welcoming into the basement...Nice to mee you! :)
I liked the club quite a bit. The sound upstairs was fantastic! The lighting guy was also on point the entire time Lee played. The basement could use some work on lighting & sound in my opinion. I like my afterhours to either be dark a la inside DC10 or full blown sun, a la DC10 outside.
Lee came on around midnight I believe & delivered as expected! :whip: Playing it all from minimal, tech, electro, & even some bad ass techno...I danced upstairs until 5am & then we proceeded downstairs to hear Bill & Lee throw down some sick & twisted beats. We left around 11am or so...13 hours of dancing had gotten the best of me. I was so sad to leave because Lee was destroying the basement from 9:30AM onwards...but I was beat...:whip:
It was damn well worth the trip!

what I posted on another board:
I was actually feeling it more downstairs most of the time. Maybe having more space to dance had something to do with it, but the tunes were terrific all around nonetheless. I had a feeling it was going to get packed downstairs after 5 am (when the afterhours were starting), so being the boring old fart that I am, I bounced at that time. Coat check was also a bit chaotic. Even though I didn't partake, the face painting was cool. |

Hello there! We thought we met someone new from TA but couldn't remember who it was. Pleasure meeting you too. Hopefully, next time we see you I'll be more coherent!
Neither Groundhog Boy nor I remember much from the evening, so here's a very general review. We waited in line for about 45 minutes and used the Basic guestlist, which didn't reduce cover so I don't know what the point of it was... The line was very slow moving b/c they only had one cashier! I liked the costumes and everyone seemed up for a good time. Lots and lots of wasted people, <3 Halloween! I saw bouncers haul out a couple people in really bad shape though.
The music downstairs was pretty good, and Lee was laying it dark and heavy upstairs. The lighting was subdued too, so it went well with the music. The sound in the main room is awesome. It's very rich and well balanced with a bass that makes you go :eyes: Only complaint is it was a tad too loud. Lee played some familiar tracks, none of which I can recollect at the moment haha Maybe GhB can fill some in later. I like the lofty feeling of the main room, but it logistically sucks that the bar is in a tiny offshoot from the DJ booth at the top of the stairs. Also, I believe there is only one narrow staircase going up to the main room, which is a really bad idea for a club full of drunks. Overall, it was a fun time but we were too wasted to last. I somehow ripped both my stockings and lost an earring in the process. |

Yeah....so about this party. Can anyone give me a play by play? I have a few snapshot memories, but I haven't been that drunk in a few months. The extra hour to do damage did it, plus trying to catch back up after waiting in line forever. I thought it was Proggie Guy that we met, so thanks for confirming. There were a bunch of people who were supposed to be there that I don't remember seeing, either.
I also didn't like the top of the staircase being so close to the booth and found the bathrooms gross. Overall, I wasn't really impressed with the venue, though I did like the high ceilings. I think that how much they packed it was half of the problem. Combined with how dark it was and how it was a new venue for me, I was just confused all night. The lighting in the basement was weird, too.
The only track I remember was Cobblestone Jazz - Dump Truck, which was playing when we got in around 3 am or 2 am, depending on how you were reading time then. |

| Liked the venue, especially the system upstairs. The bathrooms were complete scumholes... I was pretty much dancing the entire time I was there. Thought Lee was going to bring it a little more than he did. The downstairs DJ was really good though from what I heard... I ended up leaving early because my friends were so banged up. Will definately be back there for Tyas and Luzz! |

great night.
the bass upstairs was just fantastic. it really gives you the energy you need to keep on dancing.
i don't really have any complaints about the venue. Even though there was only one bathroom, I never battled any long waits. Getting from upstairs to downstairs was never a problem ... or maybe we were just too drunk to notice. Coat check lines were a bitch, but I didn't use them. I found a nice spot near the back speakers where I just shoved my jacket.
We left at about 5:30 ... my body just couldn't take a third long night of heavy drinking and dancing. |

I do remember Burridge/Skeletor dropped Smith & Selway - Silver Bullett, which is the only track I remember... to elaborate on the show, my friends were running around with glow in the dark facepaint/designs on their faces:nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |
