Sorry guys...we are just getting back from several big shows and are finally reaching out to those of you who went to the Wet Grooves party at the Hard Rock pool on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Nearly 3000, drunk DJs, naked girls...and midgets painted green???
Hit us back with your comments please.
Thanks,
Wetgroovin |

| looked just like a normal Sat at the Hard Rock pool to me in terms of the crowd and # of people there (other than the DJs playing). and who schedules Seb for 2pm while everyone is still asleep??? :whip: |

did you go or just read a review?
we actually did plenty more people than a typical saturday at the rock pool.
i'm sure if it were just typical we wold not have been offered more dates for summer 2007.
seb had a flight to catch and had to fly.
i appreciate your comments though. would love to hear more.
thanks! |

i went - we got there around 4:45.
except for the people clustered around the DJ booth area it looked just like a normal Sat afternoon to me. and the Las Vegas Weekly made the same observation - if anyone would be a good judge on the # of people there it would be a local who is part of the EDM scene.
heck, I wish there was 500 or 1000 more people there. the more the merrier in my book.
maybe i missed it but posted set times would be nice and having the headliner later in the day would be my comments. otherwise it was a fun Sat afternoon at the Hard Rock pool but nothing outstanding. |

yah i think our crowd peaked around 3pm. we were extremely happy with the attendance and so was the hard rock.
i may be biased but it was by far one of, if not the best events at the vmc.
gettin ready to rock it in miami next! |

assuming you are talking about that thursday nite, they had a bar guarantee they were required to meet - based on the low # of presales sold, they thought they would not come close to meeting the guarantee and therefore lose $$$. hence, they moved the DJs to the party already scheduled at Empire for that nite. |

I think idea of the VMC is a great idea and I think it can be done, it just needs alot better planning as this year seemed really rushed.
I also think it needs to be move to a further date to ensure better talent.
But hey what do I know, |

I think the town is a perfect fit with all the clubs as well as being able to accomidate people with all types of budgets. It really can work, just needs good planning and time, like anything else.
I am sure next year will be better, |
