haha true that ... i visited friends in coventry for a week in 2003 and 2004 and the only things worth mentioning about birmingham was gatecrasher@nec and the bull ring shopping center |
YOu missed out on Three Shades Records (RIP), you could have went to HTFR and spat on the carpet, The Chavs up broad street, The Custard Factory including the Medicene Bar and what was then Code, The rag market, Millenium point, China Town (The Big Wok £5 all you can eat), The many big issue sellers, Visisted UB40 and there recording studio.
And much much more...

:stongue:
Quite a few of my mates have Italian parents and they've always said Naples is a hole.
I'm going to go for Florence it's a beautiful city apart from fat septic s and annoying Japanese tourists who invade the place no offense meant to people of these nationalities but if your there you'll understand.
Spains a very hit & miss place for me like the resorts are inhabited a British ex pat community of Gangsters and criminals on the run from the law on top of that you get scum of the UK invading there every summer getting drunk and fighting. The cities however are amazing I really like Barcelona good place.
How can anyone shout out Birmingham, it's just a Midlands hole like Northampton but with more people and more stuff to do :stongue:
Jake C I hear Handsworth & Highgate are lovely areas full of the most civilised most friendly people you can meet. |

TOP 10 UNDERRATED DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD, according to TripAdviser:
6.Cleveland, Ohio

wow. I lived there for 4 years and can say that it's a total dump.
However, it has the potential to be an awesome city. It was built to be a great city, but never quite got there. A hundred years ago Cleveland was the center of the steel and oil world. It needs a good mayor, and maybe a hundred or two-hundred thousand more people within the city.
University circle is a wonderful area with tons of museums and gardens. Unfortunately there's also that university that I went to that's now famous for shootings, resignations, and most recently a dean arrested on narcotics charges. |

meh, you know everyone is just whoring the cities that they are in, wanting more attention, so I might as well do it too.
raleigh,
high education to population ratio(supposedly most PhD's per capita in the US, prolly closer to #3 though)
low cost of living
lots tech companies
ranked above silicon valley and seattle for tech jobs this year
but we dont get big parties, we're just the halfway point between ATL and DC really, move along, nothing to see here. |
