Heart Rate Monitors?

So I'm hitting a bit of a rough spot in my trainning and want to break through on my cardio a bit more so I'm looking at rate monitors. I'm most seriously looking at the Polar RS200 and the Polar S210. Do any of you have experience with heart rate monitors and what are your thoughts on what you've been happy with?

I don't need the shoe adapter peices to gadge your pace or speed and distance but I do need target heart rate zones with alarms. I also really like the heart rate recovery speed feature on the S210, but besides missing that one thing, the RS200 has way more features and is actually a bit cheaper. What have you found to be the most valuable features besides basic heart rate?

basically anything will do the job as long as it isnt some $5 piece from walmart ;)

i can't live without my hrm! i have a very old (4 years) polar model. it's pretty basic, but it gives me a continuous heart rate while exercising. at the end i get total time, calories burned, time in target zone, and average heart rate.

i wear it while running, cycling, playing ultimate frisbee. i use it to stay in target zones while training, and monitor what's going on inside.

my bf has a more advanced model for triathletes, i think it's the s625x, but that's way more than you'll need.

Heart rate, total time, & calories burned are the three most important features to me. it would be nice if it could store more than one workout. if the watch accidentally starts then i lose all data if i haven't written it down.

only problems that i've had with mine was a battery & transmitter band replacement (after 3 years of heavy use but polar customer service was excellent) and if i'm near a lot of electrical equipment or greg's hrm (my watch reads both mine & his transmitters) the hrm does weird things.

i love my polar hrm and would be lost without it!

Polar heart rate monitors are very good...I'd pretty much say that either one you chose you'll make a good decision - you'll probabbly only use the basic functions anyway. That's what I'm doing with mine, and that's why I bought the basic model... :) They have a neat online feature too where you can log your workouts and such...
