wrestling is due another 'in' phase, since the attitude era of 1999-2000 it's not really been big. I grew up on it, and have never really shook it off, there's some good independant promotions away from wwe, although that still has good stars. Imo, just cos im bored. People that if it becomes cool again you might hear of :p

CM Punk

Comes from an authentic martial arts background, incorporates it into his wrestling style. Known as one of the best workers of a crowd through mic skills, this guy is finally getting a chance in the new version of ECW & while currently playing a good guy (he's very hot with the fans right now since his debut) he's also a great "heel"

Samoa Joe

Most peoples idea of a Wrestler is that they're just full of muscles & talentless, well with vince mcmahon, a lot of that is true, too many meatheads get pushed, but this guy is huge throughout ROH, 1PW & TNA. Why? Well he's just a normal guy, built like a brick house who hurts people. With tons of submission moves (none of which can not hurt) and a stiff array of kicks & the like, Joe is hugely popular despite all attempts to keep him as a bad guy. People just respect how damn good he is.

Edge
Along with Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho, the biggest canadian since brett & owen hart. The canucks love their own and this guys no exception. Hated amongst internet websites for various reasons, the guy has spent years working his way to where he is now. from his days with christian in E&C, he's cut some of the best promos in wwe.

Ken Kennedy

What does this guy have? Charisma. Anyone who knows the big days of wrestling know it had people who talked a good talk, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Mick Foley. All could do the talking, Kennedy is relatively green as far as in ring goes, but he's so good on the mic that even as a heel, the crowds cheer him immensely, meaning he has to get some cheap heat just to be booed, which is often funny. His best one of note was coming over to the UK on a tour & Went to Newcastle & got the biggest cheers of the night, gets the mic & tells them how amazing it is to be in sunderland. (think telling someone from toronto how great it is to be in Montreal) If Pro Wrestling becomes big again, it will be with guys like this.

Alex Shelley
Why? Athleticism. see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxt12MWeqnI

Petey Williams
Young athletic canuck, why have i picked him? Well, tell me you can do this.

And for those who remember the late, great, british bulldog davey boy smith, his son harry is going to debut soon in WWE(F) the nephew of bret hart, he's meant to be rly good

and DX? Well they're 30 somethings trying to be 18 now. it doesn't work.
