How is this "news?"

I've seen this happen a LOT on CNN.com over the years, and I guess I just find it kind of ridiculous. The only thing that could be considered is an advertisement, there is nothing even remotely newsworthy about it...
Let me stress: This was HEADLINE news for them, not even in the book review or entertainment section - And it doesn't even review the book, it just says that this book exists...

But yeah, that's pretty crappy for news. It's why I don't watch much news, if any, and just get the major headlines by word of mouth. |
