Hey what's up with sports commentators wearing American flag pins on their jackets? I can understand it if politicans do it, but.. since when does politics come into sports?

Are these guys on some sort of a political mission? Do enlighten me.

I find this to be in very bad taste.
jonSun

LOL ... wow ... the trends have changed. now if you wear or carry your flag around then you are a fascist, extremist, patriotic, nationalistic, etc. - evil signs ...

Or is it as JonSun said, I am proud of my country? I have a Russian pin on one of my backpacks - I am proud of my roots, my heritage and my culture. Am I some kind of criminal or extremist for that when I walk down the streets of Toronto, lets say?

Isnt it "American" football?

OK then, so why cant a player wear the flag of the country he loves? Something illegal? Does it make him crazy, insane?

There's a HUGE difference between wearing your country flag, be it USA, or the POLITICAL PARTY pin, like Nazi Party. BIG BIG DIFFERENCE.

No... That's not the case. I doubt any american believes that. And if you are referring to my comment, I should have stamped this right next to it:

JOKE

And, wearing a pin is usually very professional, most people wear them to work, and not anywear else.

And, no, you are not a criminal, or an extremist for wearing a pin on your backpack. In fact, it's a great conversation starter. "Hey, are you russian?".

But I wouldn't talk to you because you're a twat.

Well, since you asked... :p

You'll find me with my green army parachute pack along with Canadian Flag and British Columbia flag badges.
So that's guilt by admission and automatically makes me a patriotic-neo-fascist-goose-stepping-nazi...

LOL!!! Everything good except your bonus comment at the end. I can never be a conservative or too cautious on any subjects ... catiousness is weak IMO, stepping away from issues and making soft coonclusions only leads to disaster - I've seen it for myself, in Russia. I would have been long gone if I didnt keep myself sharp.

Don't blame yourself; the internet isn't the greatest at conveying such an emotion to begin with...;)
