has anybody watched this? really has lowered the bar on the most worthless piece of on tv.
half the time the presenter is standing there waffling away into the camera about all sorts. only get a call through once every 5 mins.
me being half pissed at the time thought nobody was calling, so i called, here is the contents of my call "thank you for calling itv play, lets see if you're a winner [pause], BEEP - sorry, you havent won, please call again".
thats it.. |

| lmao I agree with u about it being the most worthless piece of on TV but I just can't believe u were actually dumb enough to call. First u only have a one in whatever shot of getting on to answer then the answer is usually 10 times more obscure than they've made it out to be and for the privelege u've lost a pound. I bet they get about £100 to every £1 they give away at least. Its daylight robbery on terrestrial TV. What happened to repeats for if people had missed programs, Its just a total load of on TV now and they have the cheek to wonder why people download everything. |

| i won £250 on a random channel on freeview. it was a maths question as i recall and i wrote down every answer given, ticking off the possiblities I had written down. i was really lucky to win, it is a load of afterall. |

i recon it's just a quick buck gib. ITV's ratings have been down lately (not suprised airing guff like love island) so i think theyve made up this ghastly program to rake in a few quid and then they'll axe it as the people catch onto the wizz it is.
Probably cost all to setup. studio, and a presenter on £100 a day. thats it really. |

| In a drunk state I decided to phone this a few weeks ago but really it is a big con - how do they get away with the Mint the most obscure puzzle ever - no one has won it yet do they just pick a answer from random? Load of balls really but itv are shafted anyway as there revenues on ads has slipped a lot and will continue to do, so expect more 'fun' games. |

im suprised that there aint a greater amount of regulation behind it .. if the answers are known from the start then why dont they have them written down behind some pealoff cover in the background to show that its been discovered?
else for all you know they might have a massive list of every possible answer .. eg names beginning with a letter .. and just tell the caller they have got it wrong until they rake in enough cash from calls or think they havent given away a prize for a while :stongue: |

I started a thread about this bollocks on another forum when I was slightly bemused by this crap

Some of the presenters are quite tasty though ;)

It got solved the other night apparently (I'm in the US so I don't know!) and here was how one of our board members calculated the answer, bearing in mind he had the answer!

| Was watching a show the other week, don't think it was ITV play but anyhow you had a box in the left hand corner of the screen which contained pictures of a mixture of £5, 10 20 pound notes. The idea was that you had to add up the total and call the premium rate number to give your answer. Now the answer was CLEARLY £165. I re-checked it over and over again and yet £165 was apparently the wrong answer. People were ringing in giving any old random amount which makes me think that even the callers they put on were fixed. 3 hours later when I turned the tele back on guess what. Still on the same in question! This urgently needs removing from TV :whip: |
