| J00F and Mauro are class-acts....you could feel the respect between them while they were shaking hands and talking....I consider myself a hardcore Picotto fan, but im not taking anything away from J00f that night......Picotto is a a in monster.....honestly he knows exaccccccctly what hes doing. I think after Saturday night the final nail in the coffin was placed, he is hands down my fav DJ.... |

In retrospect, those two DJs should not be booked again on the same night. Both bring a very unique and special vibe to the table, and both need to close their respective nights. The night when Markus was the setup and John was the closer was much more effective since their contrasting styles complimented one another.
All in all, I had a great time this weekend and it was fantastic to see all my TA friends on LA again. Hope to see you guys again soon. :) |

my review to come soon. my cold got worse since i went out partying saturday/sunday and my monday, tuesday and wednesday's are long days. i had a great birthday though :D
okay so here it is: i didn't think that this birthday would top last years but it did!!!!!!!
i got to be in my favorite club, dancing to my favorite dj, surrounded by so many of my favorite friends and my brother was there as well!!! what a night. and the cherry on top was joof and his wife selma gave me a card for my b-day :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
how amazing is he???? so awsome and it just made my night! incredible. and then bob dropped my favorite track On the Ground and his set was so amazing as well. what a great b-day!
we got there early and enjoyed the opening sets of fei-fei and eric saylor and they were both throwing down great sets. it was so much fun to see eric up there going crazy, jumping around and dancing and smiling the whole time!!!!!
then john gets there at a few minutes before 11 and we chat a bit and then he goes on and i don't move from my spot for the next 3 hours. true he held back some but it was still a great set and the energy and enthusiasm that radiates from him just explodes and people just can't help but be happy and dance. i loved every minute of it! and it seems that so many people around me did as well! he proves over and over that he is a stand up, professional, dedicated dj that loves the music more than anything and works his ass off to give the crowd the best that he can! thank God for djs like him.
so nice to see so many TA's out this night. was great seeing everyone and also meeting so many new people as well. not sure i remember everyone but hey, it was my b-day, i'm entitled to forget :crazy:
i bounced back and forth between mauro and bob's sets. i kept waiting for mauro to unleash but it felt like he was holding back a bit. he definitely seemed to enjoy himself up there and the crowd was totally giving him props so it was still a nice set and i enjoyed dancing to it.
sorry michelle for getting you so drunk. i couldn't keep up with all the drinks that were being sent my way so i kept handing them over. and woody!!!!! you little drunk boy ;) you and michelle were so funny. great spending time with the other b-day girl julie and thank you so much again kris for all the b-day warm fuzzies. great to hang with you raoul, great night indeed! bob, fei-fei and eric- super sets. sorry josh, i missed yours but i heard great things about it. ruben and ref as always, my 2 joof partners there with just as big a smile on their faces as me! nice to see you out as well julia, simon, randy, greg and leah, curly,TSG, riia, gil, ben, don, chris,gerard, bjorn,desiree(thanks girl for stopping by, i know you had to go dance but it meant a lot, sorry you fell, oopps), and so many others that i'm sure i'm forgetting but you know who you are.
funniest moment for me: i went up behind a girl who i thought was fei-fei and grabbed her ass as a joke and the girl turns around and it's not fei-fei! i was like oh no so sorry but she was cool with it and laughed it off. so embarrassed! and then the most uncomfortable moment was when i got dance raped in the back room by a chick!!! :nervous: very strange indeed!!!
all in all, a super night at spundae and of course i couldn't ask for more than to dance to joof!!! thank you bob again for getting me in! you rock as always.
tigo, great seeing you afterwards, always nice to hang with you. ahhh, great memories and michelle caught so many of them on her camera, thanks for that. :D |
