How to make Bali bass sound?

I'm having a hard time trying to get that deeeep pumping bass that was in the original Bakke and Joni - Bali track. Could anyone give some insight on how to make it? or what not..i tried..but mine sounds too andy moor'ish? i don't know..heres a sample of my version

For one thing, your bass has waaaaay too much high, lower the cut-off to about 200 Hz
Also, make sure your overdrive is light, and before the filter in your chain.
That should help out. |

Hi bro, here's my try, it's not the exect one I know but it's deep and pumping like you asked for...
I took out all the low freq's from that Bali track and put the bass and a kick on it so you'll notice the feeling..
