I had a awesome time and am somewhat glad I decided to go on Sunday. Waited in line for all of 4 minutues, ordered a drink immediately each time I walked up to the bar and initially waltzed right up to the front to enjoy Remy's set. He played one of my favorite tracks Robbie Williams - Rudebox (Perry O'Neil Remix).
Armin once again played a solid set, expected the entire set to be slightly harder and longer, but it was still good. I love ASOT and I would guess he's played almost all or all of the tracks he played tonight on one of his shows this summer. Either way, I walked away with a poster and I got my hug from Armin so I'm happy :happy2:!!!
Nice meeting some fellow NYTAs (FotoAddict, Ay Star, Gjorgji, and Marcin777) and I saw Big Mike from afar, but I've never actually meet him...I was in the front with the long white skirt. Anyhow it was good times!!!
Going to sleep now... |

I was really pissed off during Remy's set. I thought the night was gonna suck at that point just 'cause I keep hearing alot of high schoolers screaming "Armin! Armin!" followed by a "WOHOOOOO" while Remy was playing. At first I thought it was just plain f**cked up to scream another Dj's name while someone is playing, after the third time it got down to you are just plain dumb. I even told one of the guys who kept screaming Armin: "You know, it's Remy who is playing Armin hasn's come out yet" to which he replied: "No dude, it's 12:30 already Armin is out".
Fortunately by the time Armin came out the "Wohooo", "Crowbar is soooo coool" " Hooray for boobies" mood kinda died and it was actually pretty sweet 'till the end of the night. Place wasn't packed so you could actually dance and Armin didn't quite live to his tobacoo sets, still I felt he was being rather playfull with the music. As in, you guys know my style, how 'bout this for a change?
So, to summarize, beggining sucked. Middle and end, sweet night. |

OH WOW, reading your review I am now so glad I didn't make myself get out to the city for "Round 2 with AVB". After 2 days of non-stop club hopping I was really left with enough energy to go as far as couple of local lounges in Brooklyn. DJ Richie Cannizzo on Sundays is always good times too. :toocool:
On the subject: LOL, PWND by high-schoolers! Priceless :stongue: I would of been on the other side from you telling that kid same thing as you.
Thank god this is the last 18+ party at Crobar. |

Great night! Not amazing though, typical asot-ish but was dancing all the way so I had fun. I really liked the first 2 hours more than the end. Starting off with tunes like "Sunhump", "Touch Me", "Lifeless Ordinary", "Year Zero" and "black is the color coco mix" was just nuts.
But really, his set was so predictable, no classics either. Starting with that Eric Prydz proper education track. (which was sick by the way) Mixing Sunhump to Touch Me back to back; whoa big surprise there. :o I wonder where he got that idea. Everything was basically Late Summer/Fall 2006 excluding some of his own productions. One surprise track for me was Kyau vs. Albert - Walk Down. It brought me to a conclusion that Armin loves this mediocre track so much that he brought it over many other better early 2006 tracks like Selu Vibra - Divine for example. (not that Divine is the greatest track but its definitely better than Walk Down)
The encores didn't do it for me at all. Markus Schulz remix of Your Loving Arms? What kind of encore track is that. Rather play the original Your Loving Arms if anything. Not that it's a bad song but it's so not classic material. Wow lol. how about HYPOCRACY! nope didn't get it lollll nevermind anyways...
Tunes That Made the Night for Me:
Oxia - Domino <=== Wowwwwwww did this get me going
Viridian - Sunhump (Richard Durand 2006 Remix)
Dave202 - Generate the Wave <== this was MASSIVE - MOVO9771.mpg
Duende - Luna Negra
Cosmic Gate - Should Have Known
Galen Behr vs. Hydroid - Carabella (Galen Behr vs. Orjan Nilsen Remix)
some great tunage from DJ Remy as well by the way. i did recognize one song:
Jaytech Remix of Snake Sedrick - Aha
what a great tune |

We actually contemplated going especially since cover wasn't as much as Saturday's. Glad we didn't go though. Sounds like it was a solid, yet lackluster set. |

| no way ^^^ it was probably Armin's best set out of all the times ive seen him.... absolutely amazing from start to finish (lol - "Big Mike, next time, put up a sign saying 'no clueless 19 year old chicks in the DJ booth'")... that "trainwreck" (wasnt his fault) was the only drawback of his set haha and the messed up looping of Karen Overton's track at the end.... but omg, the music was so on point, and not only that, but the lights were just phenomenal, better than Ultra and thats a full blown festival.... i found the crowd to be a fun one, plenty of up-for-it and the undesirables that would pack out the crowd on a Friday night, i didnt see them there on a Sunday night.... and no, a lot of schools still have class today, my girlfriend had class at 8 this morning!!! she wouldnt have missed this for the world though, it was her FIRST trance event (ive taken her to countless house events but things never worked out whenever Ferry or Armin came to town).... she brought two other first-timers and they had a blast, they stayed with us til close, and theres not much more i can say, it was his best set ive heard from him ever (wasnt at Tobacco Warehouse though)... 9/10 rating! |

apparently a very popular encore because he ended with it in boston on friday and markus schulz ended his set in boston last month with it. imo the original has been played waaaaaaaaay too much in the past year or so |
