thanks for listening
the thing is with a lot of tracks (be it trance, ambient, chillout, whatever), is that they seem to have dramatic beginings, build-ups, high-points, and dramatic ends.
instead i tried to use tracks that break away from that formula and that are pretty steady throughout. i was aiming to use them them to create one begining, one buildup and one conclusion. sort of like making an hour-long song.
I was trying to avoid this:
_ - = - _ _ - = - _ _ - = - _ _ - = - _ _ - = - _
I was aiming for this:
_ _ _ _ _ - - - - - = = = = = - - - - - _ _ _ _ _
i hope this makes sense.:nervous:
stevieboy - maybe i'll give it another shot.:eyespop: |

| nayil, if you like umbra you'll probably like the cd too (discogs), specially, 'Barred Spirals' and 'Tubastrea Aurea'. i'll probably put one of them in the part 2 of this mix. i'm still sorting it out. |

| Didn't notice this until now, but better late than never. Very well built up mix, I liked how it begins and ends with the NASA effects. The tune selection is also great, good mix of abstract/experimental at the beginning and more melodic stuff at the end. More like this! |

thanks for the kind comments. i've been trying to do a second part to this for some time, but it's taking me forever to find the right tracks. i could throw some stuff together, but i really want to make something special, something that people and myself will want to listen to many years down the road. to me, many mixes these days seem so disposable. i don't want that. anyway, thanks for listening. |

Hey, good thinking, quality over quantity. Good luck with the next mix, will look forward to it! |

| This mix was exactly what you said it would be. I'm not a fan of chillout or ambient music, but this was very cool. I like the concept of going through space and all along, I kept thinking, man this reminds me of starcraft :) Very well done. |
