I just got off the phone with a GameStop spokesman who confirmed that as of 2 p.m. Mountain Time, the chain's 3,600 stores has sold out of every single one of their PS3 pre-orders. As of right now, he went on to say, the chain has no word on whether they will be getting anymore for launch day. So this could be it for their initial batch of consoles.
While they sell-out wasn't confirmed until 2 p.m., the spokesman told me it was a matter of minutes at most stores. He added that this was much faster than the sell-out rate of the Xbox 360. |
So I guess my area didnt get the memo because Wii pre-orders where done today here too so hopefully those looking for a Wii didnt get the shaft :haha: |

Wallmart and Kmart are to do the Midnight Madness deal on Nov 17th for the Ps3 both locations suspected to have 10 depending on your area vs. population so the camp out begins! |

There were people lined up all night at the gamestop downt the street from my house(sacramento, ca)
so i went to one down the street at 4am, I was the first line but in about 3 hours the line was 16 people deep...

Considering the average store in North America has access to all of 8 PS3's, is it really a surprise?
I'm waiting a long time before buying a PS3 or 360. I'll be getting Wii right away though.
Sony has more than just videogame troubles to deal with. I'm not confident in their showing for this generation of games. Especially for a 600 dollar block of hardware that can only really be fully taken advantage of with an HDTV. |

Pre-Order was only for the US.
Canada starts next monday... good thing some of our EB games are in malls... that way there is more doors to cover and ran into the mall...
i will get that PS3... worst thing is im gonna go see a guy a EB games and pay him some money under the table to make sure i get myself one...
then when i get it, im sending my 360 to microsoft to get it fixed... and im sure once i get the 360 back, it will be time to send the PS3 in aswell... i really dont think it will be working that great on release. But i just want one... dont really know what to do with my money these days. |

the people that went to gamestop and EBX, apparently some that reserved for the 100$ yesterday, sold that reserve thing on ebay for like 600 |
