Im more excited about Silva Vs Franklin, I want to see Silva destroy Franklin :)

But Tito will beat on Shamrock, the only thing Shamrock is good at is talking .

Pathetic, I think this was a money grab for both of them, particularly for Shamrock, who was expecting to lose that fight. How relaxed was he going into that fight?? Looked like he was ready for bed! This is why I dislike the UFC sometimes, so much marketing nonsense unlike PrideFC, at least this was free heh.

tito flipping him off lol....stupid comentators, saying...after he starts huggin shamrock and ..." wow, hes so mature...he grows up so fast blah blah blah on the radio"....moments prior tito's imaginary digging motion and the flipping off

Shamrock needs to fight Gracie one more time. Tell me that wouldn't draw. Gracie wins with a knee bar.

Or Frank could fight Ken. I hear they don't even talk anymore; and Frank picked Ortiz for the fight tonight.

Tonights specticals were a bit much. IMO
I was happy the Canadian choked out that arrogant SOB but other than that I was pretty bored watching the rest go down.
I caught a few rounds of the new International Fight League events over the long weekend. It was Renzo's Pitbulls vs Millitech's Silverbacks. I like the team style fighting more and more since it tends to loose a lot of the attitude and the sportmanship comes back into it. If you guys get a chance make the swith to watching Pride, K1 or IFL instead of UFC.... unless you really enojoy the trash talking going on in the UFC. (I know I'm guilty every once in a while of enjoying the 'show')

BTW: this saturday's UFC event:
I call Sherk killing/pounding Florian. there is no one at that weight that can go shot for shot with Sherk. His core strength is just fricken rediculous and he still has been able to maintain his flexability. Kenny hasn't really been pushing his Jiu-Jitsu that much in fights recently anyway as he tries to establish his ability to strike in the league... this time around I think he could be in serious trouble both on his feet and if he's on his back Sherk will be able to pound him even from inside his guard. The only way I see Kenny as having a chance to win this would be by rear naked choke or front standing Guilotine.

I could see the Franklin and Silva fight going either way, but I think Franklin feels pretty comfy in the UFC spotlight right now so I think he'll win by TKO in the third.

I agree with you, and sometimes I get suckered in to the whole marketing, specticle side of it, but at the end the fights are never at the caliber when you get two no nonsense guys going at it. What I found really pathetic was what Shamrock said to Tito at the end of the fight, something about "its all cool, this is a business we just got paid". Maybe Sharmrock isnt such a stupid guy after all, he just trashed talked his way into getting a fight, b/c I doubt anyone cares to see him fight competatively anymore. This is why UFC pisses me off sometimes, with these useless fights.

This is why I think that Silva vs. Franklin is probably one of the more significant fights in the UFC as of late. You have one of the best PrideFC/Chute Boxe fighters going againt a UFC champ. I'm pulling for Silva on this one, they're calling him a striker, but he's got incredible Ju Jitsu, and I'm sure Franklin wouldn't want to test it. They're both extremely well rounded fighters, but I think Silva may have the edge, however Franklin always seems to nullify his opponents somehow, so definetly not to be under estimated. As for predictions, I'd say Silva by submission in the second round.

MacDonald was sick...technical brilliance. This guy catches Herman in triangle choke and then a kimura at the same time...when Herman goes for a slam, he hooks a leg...then he's pulling his head down or holding an arm, and feeding him elbows at the same time.

that was amazing to watch.

Tito indeed murders Ken quickly...big surprise

The end was funny...Tito punks Ken, as expected...until Ken says "hey, we made a lot of money together" and then Tito chills out and they bury the hatchet, knowing that it's true...hillarious that they caught that quote on tape.

Kendall was impressive too...but the rest was meh.

agree with you Nusty...UFC ain't got on Pride, for the most part...even K-1 has been pretty damn entertaining lately. The OWGP finals card was better than anything the UFC has put on in years. I don't think the "Real Deal" card this month is that great, but it's just full of strikers meant to woo the U.S. audience...the NYE show should be a better show for people to watch if they haven't seen Pride before.
