i think living in NYC has shown me alot of things probably most of you have never seen in real life. there goes this 6th or 7th sense about the presence you display just by the way you carry yourself. something other people from other parts of the country may not notice, but new yorkers notice once they are out of their element.
it's like that shady eye, or that watching your back mentality, i can't really put it into words, fact of the matter is something like this is news to around the world but here in nyc, people will still go where they need to go without hesitating |

Last person who tried to mug me in Nyc had me force them to an ATM and they gave me 500 bucks and their wallet and left crying.

helipad like 7 or 8 blocks off just heard on necn
fire just spread to a 3rd floor, the high rise was very close to an area helicopters frequent

Police say an aircraft has crashed into a building on Manhattan's Upper East Side at 72nd Street and York Avenue. It is near Rockefeller Center.
There was no word on casualties.
Video from the scene shows at least three apartments in the high rise fully engulfed in flames.
It's unclear if it was a small plane or a helicopter. |

NEW YORK (CNN) -- An aircraft has crashed into the middle of a brick luxury highrise residential building on Manhattan's Upper East Side at 72nd Street and York Avenue, police officials said.
The building is very close to the East River. There was no word on casualties as firefighters battled the flames that shot up from several windows on the 10th story. The Federal Aviation Administration has said a "general aviation" aircraft had hit the building.
A North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) spokesperson told CNN that it had not been tracking the plane.
Witness Sarah Steiner told CNN that fires were burning on the ground. "It looks like the plane just flew into someone's living room there."
"It looks as if the aircraft didn't go into the building but fell down," she said. "It may be part of the debris burning on the ground."
Steiner said that when she arrived, she saw fire shooting out of two windows on approximately the 30th floor of the 50 story building.
