it depends on which one has more logical validity. i would say me personally i would prefer the long elaborate argument with cold hard facts. sensationalism can be effective if the person you're trying to convince is stupid and emotional. i prefer intelligent reasoning.
thus, intelligent people are more likely to choose the same side as my opinion.

not necessarily...basically i went to a new highschool for a magnet program (the jr high i went to fed into a different school) and the only people i knew were 3 of my best friends that came w/ me. they all moved away after first semester of my soph year. this was hard for me to deal with so i got kind of clingy with this group of girls i had made friends with. the 'lead girl' was threatened by me so she ostracized me and spread a bunch of rumors about me so i had to find all new friends and basically start over twice. then i became really involved in the drama department at my school and was best friends w/ my director's son. well the weekend after prom he raped me so you can imagine how happy i was to get out of that place.
