Well I am trying to get my DJ 3000s repaired because the right side is cracked and they keep refering me to the Canadian distributor who then refers me right back to the American distributor!!
:whip:
What should I do?

I have a Stanton RM80 mixer. It's ok for basic mixing but that's about it. And one of the channels don't work anymore. Though i got it used so I shouldn't expect perfect condition.
Will have to upgrade soon. My CDJ 1000 mk3s keep looking at me like I'm not treating it well with a crappy mixer ;) |

dunno.... i have everything by Stanton (T.120, M.304, Trackmaster II SK) and i have to say the mixer is one of the best I have ever used, not mentioning that the T.120 wins over any Technics TT but thats another story lol )))
ive heard that in the past stanton made crappy stuff but I totally love my M.304 and Ive played DJM600 lots of time and Stanton is just better imo! |

Dude,
You have to put your foot down with these people. Get angry and request to speak to a manager or supervisor and ask them to put it in writing. Take names etc.
If your warranty does exprire you can at least prove that it's down to their incompetance not your lack of attempting.
The bottom line is that you are probably speaking to some lazy underpaid person who doesn't give a .
You have to be like a bullterrier with this sort of thing. If they refer you to someone else ask them to explain exactly why.
In truth however it sounds to me as if the country that you bought them in should be the one that is responsible. I assume Canadian as you have that flag in your profile.
If the worst comes to the worst state that you want names, everything in writing and that you will take this to a customer complaints commission or similar.
Cheers

I agree, you have to be pretty assertive. But if someone asked for my name and I worked in a call centre, I'd give them a false name. There's no way I'm disjing my name out to some bloke who's pissed off with my companys products.....

| If you work at a call center you don't really have any choice but to identifiy yourself to the customers. The calls are monitored so they can trace it back to you and they will fire you. |

Email stanton. They sorted out my broken 3000s super quickly- send me a completely brand new sealed pair. I CANNOT complain about their customer service at ALL.
Otherwise, crap products. |
