....and thinking that its ok to call black guys "brother"
this is one thing that kinda annoys me, just coz im black doesnt mean that its ok for white folk to call me brother. and its 90% white people that do it. i dont hear it as much from asian and brown people.
can anyone enlighten me on why they feel the need to call black men "brother"?????????? |
stop calling us "nigga" |

umm..imo you just made yourself look pretty stupid starting a thread bashing 'white people' about why they say 'brother', are you kidding me? singling out a race is never healthy...

oh i'd really love to know where you're pulling these stats from. :p
and if really bothers you that much, why don't you ask the next guy who calls you 'brother' to stop, or ask him why he calls you 'brother' :haha: |

hahaha, you dudes are funny,
you got me all wrong, im not complaining about it, its just an observation which can get annoying sometimes coz i know the only reason the word brother is used is coz that person is dealing with a black person.
i understand that brother is a common thing to say, but none the less its more common for white people to call a black person brother then to call a white person brother. my personal opinion is that the white person is using the term "brother" to show that he is cool and acknowledges the fact that im black but wants me to know that they are cool with that and that i should not think that they are racist. meh, maybe i dont make sense, but thats what i think. |

you prick, im not singling out a race, im just stating my observation, and as for stats, thats just straight out my ass, its not like i know for sure. come on dude, if you think that this topic is that serious then you need to chill out, coz im not attacking anyone, i just wanted to understand something.
i guess it would be easier for me to understand certain things if i was north american, but im not, im actually african, so its a different culture to me all together, so when i ask questions, im not attacking anyone, its more a way of understanding north american culture. :) |

Blame Hulk Hugan, we grew up on him using it during his KoKo-B-Ware friendship. |

This thread reminds me of Carlos Mencia's sketch on when it's ok to use the n word without being racist...
I got to find it on YouTube. |
