Thanks, everyone.
Just got into my new apartment, on Long Island. The weather is seasonably mild, and I can breathe freely for a change. My cat slept throughout most of the ride, so no troubles there. I tried to drive up here in one shot, but no such luck - I can only take so much, for one day of driving.
Other than that, I have a carload of junk, and waiting for the movers to arrive - yippie. Hopefully, it won't get too cold up here, before I decide to move back to FL.
Ok, I'm starving now, and I think I'm going to doze off for a while, since I didn't sleep so well in my car, at the rest stop in Virginia.

Before I move back to FL, I plan on doing something I should've done a long time ago, before moving from state-to-state - that is to get rid all the you don't need, like bulk furniture!!! Moving is getting to be expensive, when you have a bad habit of holding onto stuff, you don't use anymore. :o
Next time, it's just going to be me, my cat, my car. Also, clothing I still wear, my bed, my $1000 dining table set, and packing all that stuff in a trailer. No more moving trucks for me - just getting too expensive. I plan on selling all my other bedroom furniture, since all the every place in FL has walk-in closets. |
