I'm a weirdo for disagreeing with your moms parenting practices? I'm sorry but whats really more weird, a parent joking about doing speed with thier kid or parents that treat chemical abuse seriously and don't joke around about it?
Man we live in a messed up society if the former is considered normal.
Like I mentioned above anyway, I hope the two of you have a good weekend together and the weather stays nice for you. Have fun. |
I am 28 years of age, thank you. Not really a kid anymore, am I? And actually, come to mention it, are we discussing parenting practices? No, we are discussing the things I can do with her when she is here considering we have done all the major attractions and spent christmas last year in a log cabin in Muskokas.
Her EXACT words were, 'take a pill' but as I don't think she knew what that meant, I changed it to speed as I know she knows what that means.
Unless you have something to suggest for me to do with her, shut up. |

maybe take your mum to one of the plenty of nice farms around here for some apple picking and then bake some pies...
unless she's too cool for that sort of stuff lol
:) |
Yeah, that might be nice. My mum likes lots of different things, we as a family do. She is an avid skiier so if Buffalo continues to get snow, who knows, I may take her skiing :).
Has anyone been to Bowmanville Zoo? Is it good?
My parent's house is almost as old as Casa Loma so I don't know if I will take her there and we have done the other things you suggested FunkyCrew but thanks for the ideas...
Obviously, shopping will be high on the agenda too. |

Bowmanville zoo isn't really worth your time. not much going on. They do offer elephant rides for $6 but otherwise you can see most of that stuff at any zoo.
Edit: they are only open until Thanksgiving anyway. |

Well I have got to go and see those ickle babby tiggers at Toronto Zoo so perhaps that will be the only zoo we visit... Just been on the website and you can ride a camel for $6! Poor camel, I'm sure he wouldn't want to have to carry me! |

just a side story...
When my babi (granma) came over from what was then Czechoslovakia, my dad took us all to see a drive-in movie at our farm in Vermont, which they didn't have in the ol' country. She was only here for a couple of weeks, so we went on the only night available.
Cheech 'n Chong's Still Smokin' was playing. We had to leave at the part where they showed animal after zoo animal, copulating, FF speed at times. My mom was never more embarrassed, and my brothers and I complained we had to leave early. |
