Sean, you're going to scare off any TAs from showing up with stuff like that...it's scaring me, anyway :p
looking forward to some good tunes courtesy of Sydney and Danny...don't water it down for the Fly crowd now ;)
booth on the ground, eh? I always liked the booth where it was...but should be interesting to see! |
haha
conveys excitement and goodtimes - and that is EXACTLY what is on the menu for the night - don't let preconceived notions scare anyone from enjoying quality music in this famous space......

""The line may be long to get in at times, but it's usually worth it at this predominantly gay hotspot. At least you'll be entertained by the friendly door staff.
Once you pass through and go downstairs, two chill-out lounges await you. The black and white lounge has a bar, and the blue mirror lounge is a great place to take a break, chill, and chat. Upstairs opens around 11 p.m. It's a cavernous space with the main dance floor and lots of nooks and crannies. House, tribal and circuit music sounds blast you away -- especially if you're dancing or standing by one of the huge speakers near the alleyway to the main bar at the back.
Above are two balconies, a catwalk, and numerous chill-out spaces that will hide you away from the world. Chill in the H2O lounge, big and spacious with lots of furniture and water lighting creating the illusion that you are lounging in the water.
As the night progresses, party boys and girls make their own impromptu dance floors wherever they please. This club has one of the best light shows and sound systems in the gay scene.
Fly's resident DJs are Shawn Riker and Mark Falco. Frequent guests include Stephan Grondin, Stephan Lippe of Montreal, and DJ Guido of New York (who once took a 12-hour train ride to make his gig because he loves the crowd so much)."
I am also looking forward to seeing the renos as well - acessible DJ always is a + in my books :) |

Renovations??? What renovations? The place hasn't changed since I moved here summer of 2005. They may have painted but that is about it. The only thing new would be the Dj booth on the main floor. I skipped last Saturday so I haven't seen it yet.
Sorry, okay, they have changed some things. I think the changes are fine. |

I'm not starting a review thread...I'm too lazy (re: drunk)
Thanks for guestlist Sean!
I arrived a bit trashed...became a lot more trashed chillin' in the lounge downstairs.
nice renos. Although I liked the booth upstairs, overlooking the dance floor, it was a good idea to move it down right on the dance floor.
Sydney was fun...I expected a bit longer set from Torrence, but whatever...the music was *far* better than Fly's usual, so no complaints there.
I was otherwise occupied for much of the night anyway, so no detailed review :p |
