I know a girl who lives 550 metres from her place of work (I did it with GPS one day, hahah) and she drives there. Yep, she gets up in the morning, takes the time to warm her car up, brush it off, and drive there.
She pays for parking downtown. She is in her car for less than 30 seconds from her driveway to her parking spot.
She has no plans to stop any of this.

going back to Yohan's pet peeve - YES!! I wish the "close door" button would close the door right away every time elevator stops on 2nd floor! pisses me off so much
I would walk to 14th floor at my old place sometimes, and my legs didn't fall off |

there are several buildings where the stairwell is all the way at the other ing end of the floor...so inconvenience plays a roll in such decisions |

most of the buildings have stairs on both sides of the floor
otherwise it's a much smaller floor to walk through (buildings with only 1 set of stairs) |
