Has he always looked like Fatboy Slim or is it just that pic?

Hahahahahah! Wonder if anyone else ever thought the same.

Almost identical.

Just got it a few days ago, but haven't had the chance to listen to it enough yet. It sounds nothing like his last one, GU028 Shanghai. It's definetly different from anything I've heard for Nick Warren before, which is a good thing if done right, and I believe that's the case here. So far I've liked it, and it grows better with each listen. That's definetly a good thing. I like the fact that Nick Warren threw some IDM in there, and some Downtempo stuff too. Makes it a lot more listenable when just chilling or relaxing. I suppose I'll have to give it a few more listens before posting more details.

EDIT: I must have been really tired when I posted that because there were some awful grammatical errors and sentences that didn't even make any sense lol.

Finally did the full listen od CD1....REALLY liked it.

After 3 listens and really FEELING the discs, then i can be a fair judge

this cd is okay. I'm not really a fan of Nick's stuff and most of both cds put me to sleep. but it looks like it was right on for those that like his stuff. not my cup of tea, but good none the less - Nick Warren is always at the top of the game.

also - almost all of the Global Underground mix cds are done in the studio with Pro Tools or whatever. the only ones that are realy "live" are the ones that say "live" on the cds. I forget which ones, but there are a couple that are really live.

oakenfold recorded 007 live, so it can be possible that nick recorded it that night

Global Underground 007: New York, Oakenfold is most definitely NOT a live set. as with the other GUs, it's representative of the set he played at the Global Underground party in New York. It doesn't say ANYWHERE on the cd that it was a live recording or even that Oakey actually mixed the cd. it's a classic, don't get me wrong, but it's NOT a live set. as far as I know, the only 'live' Oakey album is Cream Resident, and even that one sounds like they just picked the best of several of his sets. I think it's possible that Cream Resident is a truly live recording, but I'd be surprised.

nope, that was not live either . those sly record people added crowd noises to make us think it was a live recording lol :o

It is!!

Just like Joey Fehrenbach- Being Around You :eyespop:

I think cd 1 is very good. I'd give it an 8.5/10

Cd 2 only a 6.5, although Blue Foundation - Sweep is pure class!!
