Labels releasing are anyway dying at some point.

That's just the point. A digital label can release crap music for years and still be alive, since they won't be losing any money.

And for one good track that comes out on a digital label, you have 50 crappy tracks flooding the market :(

i think the vinyl shops that i visit who are planning to go digital prove theres a decline in vinyl sales and the closure of one also.

Of course it's cheaper, mp3 is an inferior quality product after all.

quality control is very strict were have a few people listening and analysing tracks. this is the reason we wont have a release for a while.

As Subtle said :

If a track is good enough to get signed by big labels, the artist will sign it there with no hesitation. Therefore, digital labels will only be able to sign the inferior tracks, also called the leftovers (the ones that didn't have enough potential for good labels).

Hahah @ who claims Realmusic is good..*dies laughing*. I am one of the artist that got ripped by Realmusic.

But ya what subtle said. To hell with labels. All digital labels are crap.

I did this once (signing a good track for digital) and i ing regreted it. Why would you want to release something digital as a producer? Think about it ..you can't even hold your work or kiss it and hug it. It's a fuking binary coded thing anyway.

But the most amazing part is the crap that gets released today. Some tunes are hilarious. production wise they suck more than ejay crap.

Well i am still a good person> So good luck with your label journey you 2.
trancedanne
Yeah i feel sorry for you then that you got ripped of from that label.. NOT . all i care about is the music not about the producers who are stupid enough to sign their stuff to a label without getting any money for it

So? Last time i checked, we talk on this forum from a producer prespective ...Since it is the producer promotion forum..

And ya thanks for liking my music.
trancedanne
Well tell that to the person who started this label topic.. & yeah i really like your music actully.
I cant see how the music quality on realmusic label can be affected just because some people are pissed of at andrew.. I bet there are mostly producers who knows about this anyway, i had no idea earlier until you told me. But i still like the music anyway
Goliath_10
Good luck so much with the new Digital Label, and to get artists signed to your label :)

And I really don't see the problem with Digital releases/labels. There is lot of nice Trance releases being released on the Digital labels, that we never would have heared, if we did not have digital labels. So stop being so damn criticise, and enjoy the music that's being released :) And of the bad things being released on the Digital Labels, just ignore them, and instead enjoy the good stuff ;)

And much of the Digital releases also get's released on CDR-S later one, so don't see the problem about saying Digital Labels destroying the scene. Since they are not at all doing that.

All the best,

Espen.

thanks Goliath_10

funny thing is its the people signed to digital labels complaining about them. no point in talking to people when they dont listen. the labels not like total digital which signs any old crap. its a specific sound were after and we will probably not have that many releases in any given year.

Well you got a point there. Maybe i should explain my self from a different view. Don't get me wrong please. I am not here to destroy the image of digital labels.

However i would like to warn new producers. Do not let your self get dragged to it. Don't be happy if it happens. Don't produce specially for it, it will NOT improve your skills. Because if some crappy label signs your crappy tune you might think that your done but you are just not.

For me when i was still producing. best time of my life was posting stuff on the forum. I made 4 releases and it was cool the first day but then it mean't nothing. i still like to search the forum on topics of my older stuff. Read the replies and try to bring back memories of me sitting behind the pc @ 4 am trying out stuff :)

Your welcome DJ Kane :) I find that verry strange for sure to. But I will enjoy the Digital releases, so what others do, it's not my business ;)

We should enjoy this as long as it will last ;) Hopefully forever, but we never knows.
