dont know what its like in america, but in the UK you only have the rights to releasing stuff under a name once you have a top 40 hit with it, copyright or not, it doesnt matter.

Actually, I'm very content with my name using it both under normal circumstances and as my artist name :)

BTW, I know a guy named Lance Lance.
