I'm after a pretty recent trance track, and I've heard it in live dj sets twice during the past summer.
The melody is made of clear bell-sounds, and the notes are atypical: 6 ascending notes, followed again by 6 ascending notes, followed by 4 notes: this creates the feeling that there's a hitch or hesitation in the melody, but actually it does make sense since the bars are respected in this way (6+6+4=16).
I don't have a sample at my disposal, but I tried to rebuild it. I'm pretty sure I didn't play the right notes, but some one who knows the track, should be able to ID it :)
