TWIN girl pop singers were arrested after a four-letter blast at fans in a soccer local derby.

Identical Francine and Nicola Gleadall, 18, hit out at Barnsley fans who jeered when they sang at half-time as the Tykes visited Sheffield Wednesday.

The girls were at Hillsborough to sing their single Cum On Feel The Noise in front of the 28,687 crowd.

You're not singin' any more ... pop act is arrested and led away by police
But away supporters began hurling abuse after the stadium announcer introduced the pair as “two girls from Sheffield”.

One of the duo told fans to “f*** off”, while the other flicked V-signs.

Cops arrested them under the Public Order Act after their amplified comments echoed round the arena.

Both girls were led away and held for two hours and given a fixed penalty notice.

Francine said: “We didn’t mean any harm. We do most of our gigs at schools and never have a problem.”

Wednesday won 2-1.

That's sexist! Men are allowed to shout more insulting combinations on the pitch, and they do so for 90 minutes plus injury time.
