Anne Savage - The Do [JOOF]

saw this up on audiojelly today. Seeing an Anne Savage track on JOOF recordings at first was a surprise, but the style doesn't seem too far off the norm.

Thoughts:

original mix - Alright. Not too much into the lead melody but seems like it could work for some.

steve birch remix - Best remix of the bunch. Takes the original and puts in some serious fx work.

james lawson remix - Nice progressive feel.

pedro delgardo's icky sticky mix - LOL at the name. Very nice tech trance track at first. The percussion loops really have me going. Vocals and the breakdown ... not so much into it.

I long for someone to take Anne Savage to one side, slap her and tell her to off and get a job in Tesco's.

DJ, producer, alcoholic.

um ... alrighty then :)

I don't really listen to her much, so my opinions about these things are ill informed.

If you don't like this release, at least listen to the White Overtone Wizard EP: not too shabby at all.

Umm.

I was very curious to see Anne Savage and Joof in one sentance!
One way i like it, and another way i dont...a little bit hit and miss for me.

I think its trying to sound to much like Marcel Wood's amazing 'Advanced', but falling really short off the mark.

Out of the bunch of mixes i would go for the James Lawson Remix, as it has a bit more beef to it, also the Pedro Delgado Remix has a techy vibe to it. But i probably wouldnt buy it.

Exactly. Listenable, but not one of Joof's stronger releases, in my opinion. The White Overtone Wizard and Lucid Dreamer albums, though, ....yummy.

Steve Birche's Remix is one of my biggest tracks to date this year.

JOOF are really on a roll this year!

pretty good for something different on joof, more tech-trance kinda style? i thought the remixes were all a bit too similar though.

None of the mixes of this release really did anything for me.
