I used to be purely into hip hop for a long time.

Now house (electro, techno, progressive...) has infiltrated my filthy mind and I cant stop listening to the .

Its just so much more raw I find.... jsut you and the beat... no messages... no games... just BEATS!

(p.s. I cant stand that euro trance bull its awful!)

Any other hip hop heads turned house head/ trance head?

Oh yea... umm are alot of use really into the dirty house or are u strictly trance?

Interresting to see someone get directly into house. Most people have this pop / cheese phase.

i went from Hip Hop to house as well- Still love hip hop as well :)

Check out Armand Van Helden - His older and some of his newer stuff (although poppier) is SICK.

used to be into hardcore hip hop until 2000-2001...goups such as Wu-Tang, Redman, Gang Starr, Big L....then heard Mauro Picotto live @ Rosenmontags Rave 2000. Never looked back since.

Its ALL ABOUT THE BEATS....that dark dirty and twisted beats.

i still listen to hip-hop with as much frequency as house music. although on long road trips by myself I usually listen to more house.

But have you completely stopped listening to hiphop? If that is the case i predict you one day will return listening to it while still also listening to edm. You will feel comfortable in being able to enjoy different types of music whenever you feel like it.

<3 variation.

good hip hop is and always will be brilliant music!

Ive just always really liked hard hitting beats..

Im still an M.O.P. fan because their music is jsut so hardhitting and raw.

Damn house is just as crazy too... and i think it pumps me up more simply because of the lack of words in the music and obviously the 120+ beats
