interesting, considering how DEAD that place is on wed/thurs. i can't imagine them not wanting to rake in some profit on an off-night.

They run that place under a tight ship, so I can understand. They actually have a board of directors calling the shots there. I can understand it because they spent $19 Million on the place.

AAAAAAAAAAmen to that. I live in Dallas (well, Carrollton, so North Dallas) and my wife and I have come to the point where we hate going out in Dallas. Went to Austin this weekend and said the same thing I always do. "wish Dallas' nightlife was like it is here." But Dallas will never have that because of everything you just stated.

i honestly don't know what more you could want from Dallas' nightlife. It really has a great scene in my opinion. yes, austin is fun, but nothing about it is better than dallas. houston is a lot of fun too, but nothing really stands out over dallas there either.

if you're going out in carrollton, thats your problem right there.

stick to downtown and uptown and i have always had a good time.

Yeah, Dirk. I'm only going out in Carrollton. I just like the way things are set up in Houston and Austin. Plus, people just seem to have more fun in those towns and not always just looking for something more. I just like the energy overall more than I do in the Dallas scene. Too many posers, like you.

wantickets still has them, but groovetickets yanked sales for ATB's event at blue...

NOW what's up? :nervous:

i like the number of bookings coming through dallas and also that i can find a house/EDM DJ any night of the week. don't care for most of the crowd, however, and love austin's attitude.

[yes, this, coming from me. ]

Austin scene is small but healthy... When mentioning Austin the words "plastic" nor "pretentious" never come up, maybe "hippy". That said, my friends from Dallas seem to like going out in Austin more than Dallas, b/c the people are friendlier and of course, the 'Austin' vibe. I've spent a great deal of time in both cities, but nothing in Texas compares to Austin.

don't cry because you got picked last to play kickball.

just because we're smarter, better looking and overall know how to party harder than tommy lee on a crazy night shouldn't evoke feelings of jealousy. you should come hang out with the "posers" sometime. i give you permission. we have a lot more fun.

nights like tiesto and pvd have brought in a completely different crowd from the one that's typically at BLUE. imo,

Paul Van Dyk opened up for Club Blue at the grand opening. For a start they did the right thing and should of kept doing electronic dance music by bringing in big names, but they moved into rap. The week after Paul Van Dyk played Miss Elliot was going to be there which brings in gangstas, and ballas.

P.S. Working on my Platinum ballas status.

P.S. The City of Dallas is stupid as hellz.

Banning Cellphones<-- stupidest thing i've heard in a long time, and that goes up against me saying some pretty stupid things. I mean this isn't fecking high school anymore City of Dallas!

Installing Metal Detectors <--- that will cost a lot of money.

P.S. To win Platinum Baller Status, one must unite the gangstas of the street with the club goers and tell the City of Dallas to stfu or arrest more people.

Time for a wake and bake session:crazy:

I know I have permission (as if I needed it). I just haven't found a night I have nothing better to do.
