I can NOT believe nobody made a damn thread about this (yes, I searched, but if I missed it, sorry, you can delete/close this, or I'll just resurrect the old one, since it totally deserves attention)! Whatever, I'm ing excited! What say youse???
-soooo glad they finally put a freezer scene in there!
-not so keen on the "nudity" aspect, since the first 2 did fine without, but it's to draw more to a now-trilogy
-I love that poster of Jigsaw in his robe...hauntingly beautiful
-getting out of work early Friday to see!
-want to design a jersey, with a jigsaw piece right above my heart, and have "JIGSAW" 01 on the back, or something like that |

plot had potential in the first one, but i couldn't get past the ridiculously cheesy soap opera-like acting. seriously, it was more funny than anything to me.
i'm an acting/movie snob...if there's cheesy acting, i can't deal with it and i'll consider it a comedy.
so yea, that is my opinion of the first one...didn't bother seeing the 2nd one because of that. |

i liked the first saw....a LOT.
the second was ... eh. i mean, it was kinda cool how it related back to the first one....to include the very same room and everything.
but having family traits and in there was kind of stupid. i mean, his "daughter"? wtF? she got into it because he "saved" her? lame.
so what, now it's going to be her kids or something?
i'll see it. but i'm expecting a really stupid twist in there....unlike a good one from the first movie. |

Well, you can't expect top-notch acting in horror movies...it's all about the gore! And damn, it's got plenty of that! So, if you're into blood, special effects and fantastic make-up, that'll be you're thing. If you're an "acting snob" (lol-I like that) then no, don't watch it. I found the storyline intriguing.
I think the "daughter" reference is just to solidify their relationship, and make people aware she will continue his work. You know, I don't think it's biological/literal. |
