I've picked up tickets for the GoldClub series at the Docks for Thursday ... I knew somthing was a bit fishy about this party, but I was suprised what came to me when I bought the tickets today.
On the fyler it's says "20.00 advance"
Well ... I had to pay 20.00+TAX+service charge and it came upto 26.00 each !!! WTF ??? I understand service charge, but since when have we ever paid taxes on tickets for our parties ?
NEVER !!!
20.00 for all those headliners was too good to be true. They should of just say 25.00 advance for this and ppl would still be lining up for this. |

| I dunno, to me tax is normal...I mean, we *do* live in Canada people...pretty soon they'll be charging us tax on 25 cent bubble gum. |

It's always been TAX INCLUDED on all tickets for any event or party in the past.
advance ticket prices+services charge = OK and Normal
advance ticket prices+taxes+services charge = They've already SCAMMED you !!!
Promoters pay taxes on their events and it's by-law they have to follow in that huge protocall the City issued along time ago. |

Then I guess you got scammed ;) But that's definitely bad selling practices, keeping a 30% price upping hidden until you actually buy the ticket. |

Its easier for the promoters to have the vendors charge the tax that way it runs like normal business taxation of goods and services. Its much easier than trying to figure out later, and pay some lump sum of tax. The vendors are more easily able to track ond pay the taxes - so it works out happier for Governmental accountants.
It does suck that the flyer sed $20 adv... and not $20+tax advance. However its a pretty good lineup for under $30 |

| I paid $56.00 for my S&D ticket -- it was originally $46 but then I had to pay tax and a service charge, oh, and mail delivery which was $3.00. It's too late now to complain. Atleast I have a ticket. |
