has anybody tried this out???
i just started the production gig...so im a newbie to all of it for the most part. not looking to get signed, or make it big...but just as a hobby. i currently have FL studio 6...all flame-age is welcome... :) and was curious if its worth buying this midi keyboard. the main appeal is the drum pads since i'll also want to take a stab and drum n' bass. not to mention ableton lite is in the package which would be nice to screw around with.
just 1 more side question...regarding the ableton lite 4 that is included....whats the difference between the lite version and the full version?
any reviews/advice would be greatly appriciated!!!
thanks in advance...cheers |

I've got the 25. It's much nicer than the Radium I had before. I play piano, so the semi-weighted keys are what won me over.
If you can spring for the 49 (and have the space for it), note that it also comes with sliders (the 25 only has knobs and the pads).
But if you don't care, yes it's decent.
As for Live 4, it's not overly valuable. Doesn't support MP3 (have to convert to WAV), etc.
What IS valuable about it, is that you can enter the Live 4 serial number on Ableton's website and purchase an upgrade to 6 for much less than the full price :) |
