You missed (In my mind) one the most talented prog or trance producers, Vlad Dzyatko. He's behind Workafiction, Distantly Viewed (D-View) and Unit Response. He doesn't produce much anymore but he sent me a wicked prog breaks track called Detacher - Test By Test and I was blown away. Needless to say all of his tracks are amazing and I feel he doesn't get near enough credit he deserves.

I've always felt that Russian trance has some decent ideas, but holds much too large of an opinion of itself. The production quality is almost always lacking, bordering on amateurish.

If the above producers could just condense their work into something really compelling, it would be much better than the large quantity of mediocre work that currently emerges from their scene. Zhukov, in particular, has talent.

Alex Monakhov's "Feel Lonely" is one of my favourites this year.

vadim zhukov is my favorite. i absolutely love his stuff. too bad he hasn't released much so far and silver star (my fav. tune from him) is still unreleased. i also love his remix of benny benassi's love is gonna save us and that's unreleased too and probably will be forever! :(

can't say any of them do it for me. A lot of the newer tracks from some of those artists sound polished but don't have the things in them that make me listen to them more & appreciate them

I love it!!!

I disagree with whoever said the production quality isn't usually up to scratch - Vadim etc's stuff is sooo much better produced than a lot of the other trance around at the moment.

Vadim, Bobina, Alex Monakhov - all superb. On the techno front, I've got some awesome mixes by Alex Stealthy.

One name who's gonna rise pretty quickly in the prog world is Alexander Kostruba... ok so he's Ukranian not Russian, but still... absolutely blinding producer. He puts most of his tracks in the production bit of this forum actually - strongly recommend you check them out. His production quality is absolutely incredible!

Alex Stealthy's had some great releases. He said he was leaving the trance scene but I know he put out some stuff through his website...I bet he's back in the scene in another year.
