Sure he's never been directly named on a vinyl / CD cover. But if you read the credits he's always named. Written, arranged and produced by 'A.Coe & C.May'.

B.Jamieson (of Evolution) is usually involved somewhere in Sasha productions too.

, there's a possibility may didn't even want to be on main part of the other releases, how do we know?

It's specifically because of that fact I called it the "worst kept dirty little secret" ;)

I'd still say that in general, the masses of fans who enjoy "Sasha" productions revere Sasha and Sasha alone, most will never know that Junkie, Charlie, and Jameison had anything to do with any of them.

While this is certainly a reasonable position, the fact remains that May has done a hefty bulk of work for Sasha and regardless of his desire for it, is due credit.

tried to find any sort of interview with may and i found this http://www.progressive-sounds.com/a...iew-12-2001.asp
incredibly old yes but this comment is pretty funny: "that doesn't mean i don't kick his arse occasionally as even the nicest most talented dj on the planet can be a lazy sod.

:stongue:
"I love working with people who have no idea where middle C is..."

Original mix does it for me, I loved all the trippy bleepy sounds that they used in Airdrawndagger and this is def no exception.

edit // and to all the Sasha/May nonsense going around...it's not as if Sasha just had Charlie produce these tracks and take all the money and fame. You say that Charlie May is the industries "dirty little secret" yet all of us know exactly who he is, if we're not a part of the "industry" then who is? You dorks :p

That being said, if May is the sole genius behind Airdrawndagger, then why is it that his stuff as Spooky sounds NOTHING like it?

"Worst Kept Dirty Little Secret" =/= "Dirty Little Secret" ;)

Beyond that, "we" (you & I) are not representative of the majority of dance music fans. At the end of the day, there are a lot of cats out there who buy Sasha records and really think he's the sole creator of that piece, and who've never even heard of Charlie.

And as far as the Spooky comparison, come on now Bas, how many producers don't have an alias (or aliases) for a drastically different productions :p

Touche, and I didn't realize you said "worst kept" :p. I still stand by my position though, there are plenty of artists that have tracks co-produced with other people and only put one name on the track. So I just think it's a little insulting to say that Charlie May is the genius behind Airdrawndagger and not Sasha.

Original mix for me, as said before it's those trippy sounds that work really well, builds a great atmosphere to start the set with

Guys like Charlie May and Andy Page have spent years tweaking the tracks of others behind the scenes because they minds are full of nothing but music, hence they shy away from the spotlight. You only have to look at the lack of features / interviews on both for clarification of this.
