| If the place you live in is a big apartment complex with a lot of units there is a good chance that the maintenance guy they send in has never seen your lease and will have no idea if you are supposed to have pets there or not. Just lock the cat up in the closet or something that day. |

i'm not entirely sure, but i'm assuming there might be a fee. lots of apartments have monthly fees for animals.
my first apartment i had in Milwaukee had a $50 monthly fee to keep cats there... but then again it was also a high-rise on Lake Michigan.
thanks for all the replies, guys. i'm still really paranoid about it but i think maybe my best bet is to keep him in the bedroom and just hope that whoever inspects my apartment doesn't know the terms of my lease. i guess if i get caught i can always use the cat-sitting story and play dumb. it just still freaks me out though because i don't want to get in trouble. |

don't worry sweetie, it wont be a big deal. i've had drama like this in the past with apts. and like xanax said, if it's a decent sized complex, i wouldn't even sweat it. the maintenance guys could give 2 s, and they are the ones with the keys to the places, i doubt the leasing office natzi ladies will be any part of this, so don't worry! |

get a kitty carrier and put the cat in it with some water and put in back of closet.
take to vet to be borded for the day like 30 40 bucks
give cat to a friend for the day.
take the day off and schedule them to come that day. Most complex's will allow you to schedule what time you want them to be there so you will be there to watch them. Lots of people get werid about peopele they dont know in their apt. Your complex might not let you schedule a day but if they do i say schedule it and hide the cat right before they come. |
